As many of you know, I’ve been pretty busy trying to deal with moving and things like that. That means packing, looking for a place, and all of those types of things. My grandpa also got a little bit worse and the family all got together to build wheelchair ramps, put in new and better flooring in house, and get rid of the kitchen island to make it easier for him to get around in his wheelchair. And like always… a few days after we thought he had hit his worse, he was getting better. He actually got up and walked around with his cane at one point! Glad he keeps going strong.

Luckily I had a few breaks for some fun things. My grandmother just turned 80 (and shows no signs of stopping) and my little sister had a birthday as well! (She’s in elementary school and she just as so much energy… the whole day it was soccer, catch, tether ball… I could barely move the next day my muscles hurt so bad.)

Well, because life needed to be more important for a while, work took a back burner. It sucks because I love blogging and connecting with you guys but on the other hand I’m glad I was able to focus on the things that needed my attention without losing all of my income. The one thing I had to do was figure out what I MUST do each day on the computer and limit myself to just that. For me those things were…

Check my email twice a day for emails from clients and affiliates.

Watch PayPal for transfers to make sure nothing odd is going on there.

Approve blog comments. This one didn’t take too long since I wasn’t posting anything new.

Check in with a quick post on Facebook and Twitter at least every few days so people know I’m still around.

Deal with any big problems that come up, such as issues with hosting or if a client/affiliate has a problem.

Pay affiliates on the right day. I almost forgot because I packed my calendar but a nice lady emailed me saying that if I wanted to wait to pay commissions they wouldn’t mind. It reminded me to do it that day.

Basically… I’d sit down and do those things and get back to where ever I was needed.

If you were ever in a situation where you had to seriously limit your work, which tasks would be on your list?

And a bit thanks to all of you who messaged, commented, and emailed to check in on me. It means the world to me that I’ve got so many people who care! Sorry if I made you worry.

Mother’s Day has come and gone and I was so busy that I didn’t really get a new case study post up, but I did post a few more bubbles. They’re so quick to write…

Here are the new ones:

Day 3 on Bubblews

The Cat Won’t Let Me Get Any Work Done

My Favorite Place to Get Free Pictures to Use

Life Without Wheels (or Why I’ll Never Get a Driver’s License)

There is No Magical Cure for Distraction

The Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries Were a Hit

I’m a little disappointed in my earnings at the bank though…

It’s a nice bit more than last time but what I’m feeling here is that only a few of my posts are getting views after the first day. There are a few that seem to be getting more views each day and those are the ones that are getting a lot of social shares.

On the other hand, it’s pretty easy to post up new bubbles. I’m going to be trying some different things to see which topics get the most responses. It was recently suggested I start doing things like writing a quick bubble about an episode of a TV show I watched and things like that so I’ll give it a shot.

I’m on day 3 over at Bubblews and I wrote some more bubbles. The main reason I’ve been enjoying it is because the posts aren’t as in-depth as a blog post, but more in depth than the average FB post. It’s a great place to just write what you’re thinking. Some of my bubbles are giving me inspiration for full blog posts too.

Before I talk about my current balance and all of that, I’m going to answer a few questions I got in the comments

Q: How do you get paid if you can’t use affiliate links?

A: You get paid per view, like, dislike, or comment on your bubble rather than through selling things.

Q: What is the payment threshold?

A: You have to earn $25 to cash out.

Q: What is the minimum length for a bubble?

A: A small 400 characters, though I try to make mine a bit longer.

Q: The bubbles all seem to have one picture. Can you add more?

A: Yes, when you write your bubble there is a drop down menu where you can choose one photo or multiple photos.

Q: How do I format my text?

A: You can’t use any HTML or anything as far as I can tell, it’s all just plain text.

If you have any other questions, feel to let me know in the comments.

So, on to the new bubbles.

Day 2 of Bubblews – I’ve Quadrupled My Balance!

Ever Feel Like You’re Chained to the PC?

If Cats Could Use the Internet…

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries for Mother’s Day

Wasting Time Isn’t Always a Waste

Once again, all I did was share them on my social networks. Here is my bank screenshot today:

I’m making more progress towards payout. It’s not a lot of money, but I’m also having fun and not really spending too much time on the site.

Let’s see how day 4 goes!

We’re on to day two of my Bubblews case study. Each day (don’t get mad if I miss a few here and there) until I get my first payment I’ll share what I did and a screenshot of my bank page.

So, the first thing I did was set up my profile. There is a bio box where you can talk about yourself and I wrote some stuff but it doesn’t seem to show up on my profile. I’m not sure what’s up with that.

I’ve written three bubbles now. I found out that you can only have one account per person/PayPal so I won’t be able to do a niche account. That’s a bummer but I’ll make it work.

Here are the three bubbles I’ve written. I wrote two yesterday and one this morning. Each took maybe 3-5 minutes total including sharing them on FB, Twitter, and G+ (the only promotion I did).

What Are the Rules of Bubblews? - I noticed they don’t have an F.A.Q. page that tells you all of the rules very clearly. That was a bit upsetting so I wrote this talking about some of the rules I found by looking around and Googling. Oddly enough, today the staff posted up a bubble where people could request questions for the official F.A.Q.s.

3 Reasons I Love Being an Online Writer - I was feeling really thankful after seeing this bubble mentioning me so I wrote this. It’s just a few reasons I love doing what I do for a living.

I Can’t Focus on Writing When I’m Angry – I decided to vent a bit because I was frustrated over a family argument From there I offered some tips for overcoming it. It took a few minutes and got me ready to focus on the important work for the day.

I should mention that they are totally okay with you linking to your own blog from Bubblews but you can’t use affiliate links. I plan to write a quick bubble about this blog post after it’s live.

Well, here is what you’re waiting for… my bank.

So… I went from $1 to $4. That’s not a lot of money but it also wasn’t a lot of work. At this point I’m seeing it more as a fun way to do some free writing and earn some money. We’ll see how it goes. I plan to do a few more today. Be sure to check back tomorrow for day 3!

Revenue sites are one of those things where I don’t “focus” on them, but there are some good ones out there. I like them for when I want to write about a new video game, a neat product, or something that doesn’t fit on my blogs. I normally focus on Squidoo or Zujava but a friend told me about this new site called Bubblews and asked if I’d try it out and tell them what I thought. Well, why not?

This is the “bank” which shows your likes and how much money you’ve earned. I’ll post a screenshot of this up each day I post an update. Here is day 1!

So… Bubblews seems to be a mix between your standard revenue sharing site and a social network. You post up “bubbles” that range from a paragraph to over 1000 words depending on the person. You get paid for views, likes, comments, and shares. That seems like they’re opening themselves wide up for abuse but I haven’t read too much yet.

For payout you have to get up to $25 but I seem to have started with $1 which is cool I guess. You can get paid by check, PayPal, prepaid Visa, or an option called “Buy me this”. For that option it looks like you just link them to the product you want them to buy which is interesting.

My plan for Bubblews is to write a few bubbles about things I enjoy and I’ll keep track of my earnings and share my progress with you guys. Let’s see if it’s worth writing for them!

I’ll be setting up my profile and writing my first Bubble today. I’ll share it with you in tomorrow’s blog post! I’m sure I’ll also mention it on Facebook.

Since I use so much PLR in my business, sometimes it’s just not smart to by it all ala carte. In fact, it a lot of situations you get more bang for your buck with memberships (provided you’re going to be able to use the content month after month.)

Earlier someone asked me what the best memberships were for PLR so I thought I’d share a few of my personal favorites. These are all niches I do different things in and the PLR is awesome. There are two food related ones and two other memberships more geared towards affiliate marketing.

Food and Recipe PLR Memberships

Yummy PLR – This was the first food PLR membership I signed up for and I’ve been a member for almost a year now. The PLR is fantastic and you get a lot of it. Each month you get 10 articles, 30 recipes, and other related bonuses. One of my favorite parts is that you get a list of public domain images and YouTube videos you can include in your blog posts.

Each month’s content is around as specific theme and members have a chance to buy some of the older content they may have missed. You can also get your first month for only $5. While you’re over there you can also get a free sample so you can see the quality for yourself.

PLR Food Content – I came across this one when I realized that even though Yummy PLR had a ton of content each month, I was going through it within about three weeks had another week’s worth of content I needed.

One of the things I love about this membership is that the content is varied. You don’t just get recipes or articles. There were weeks where I got infographics and other cool things. The content is also top notch. It never takes much work to get the PLR from this membership ready for my website because it’s already awesome.

Ruth’s PLR Memberships

Toy PLR Monthly – I was personally signed up for this membership for around six months. I recently cancelled so I could catch up on using the PLR and plan to sign up again in a month or two. The PLR is fantastic. You get great toy reviews that are in-depth and cover exactly what parents are looking for. You also get articles to go along with them that are informative and helpful to your readers.

The PLR I got from this membership is probably my favorite out of any membership I’ve signed up for and it’s so easy to add in links to Amazon products to earn some commissions. Toys my not be at the top of your mind now, but not only do parents buy toys all year, but NOW is when you want to start preparing for Christmas if you want to make the most money during the season.

You can get a free sample of Ruth’s toy PLR here.

Fitness PLR Monthly – Health and Fitness is such a big niche and one I really enjoy working on. This is another one of Ruth’s membership sites that offers awesome content at a great price. While I haven’t signed up for this one (though I really want to) I’ve purchased packs of PLR previously released through the membership.

You get articles, long reviews, short reviews, and all kinds of awesome stuff with this membership. Over on the sales page she makes sure to tell you EXACTLY what you’re getting this month. If you’re in this niche or thinking about it, Ruth’s fitness packs are the best I’ve seen out of all of the fitness PLR I’ve purchased (and that’s a lot of PLR).

You can get a free sample of her fitness PLR as well.

Do you prefer PLR memberships or buying ala carte?

I’m going to tell you a story about someone (who I won’t name) who I’ve been chatting with off and on for a month. I’m really frustrated because she’s an awesome person and I want to help her succeed.

We originally met when she emailed me to ask a simple question. I sent her links to some resources and we started messaging each other on Skype. She was new to online marketing and struggling monetarily. She wanted to learn the ropes and I told her to go ahead and ask me questions and I’ll help her out where I can.

Here’s the thing… the first question she asked was how to get traffic to her blog. I gave her a list of my usual ways… getting involved on forums, commenting on blogs, and social media.

Fast forward to a week later and I get a message that says something along these lines:

“I emailed x, y, and z to ask how to get traffic to my site. They suggested solo ads. Do you think this is a good idea?”

On one hand, there is nothing wrong with getting more opinions and more information. On the other hand, when I asked if they had tried any of the things I suggested and they said they weren’t going to start until they figured out which method was best.

Well, we’ve been chatting for a month now and just yesterday they asked me again… “My blog doesn’t get any traffic. What can I do?” I asked what they’ve been doing and they said they didn’t know what to do so they haven’t done anything.”

Umm…?

It’s so frustrating! It makes me wonder if they want advice at all.

So, what does this have to do with you?

Well, I see this all the time on forums. People ask questions that are answered all over the place like they’re still looking for the “best” or “perfect” method. Well, there isn’t one. The only way to make progress is to sit down and actually do these things. It’s work. It takes time. In fact, you’re likely going to waste a lot of time figuring out what will work best for you but you won’t get anywhere if you sit back and ask questions instead of getting started.

Today I had a talk with this awesome person and told them that it’s time to quit learning and start doing if they really want to succeed. It’s normal to be afraid, but if you let that stop you, how will you ever reach your goals?

Do you ever find yourself sending more time researching than actually taking action?

So, I mentioned on Facebook and Twitter that I’m going to be moving to a new house soon and it seemed like the perfect time to run a PLR sale!

I run PLR Content Market where I currently have 42 packs available. Most are articles but there are also quite a few reports. You’ll find everything from penny auctions to video games to weight loss, all written by me. You don’t have to worry about getting a bunch of garbage articles written by someone with no grasp of English, or worse… spun articles.

If you want a free sample of my PLR, you can get that here.

Here is how the sale will work, I’m making it super easy!

Step 1: Head over to PLR Content Market and add whatever packs you want to your cart. There are some categories listed at the top of the page in the green bar, or you can navigate all of the categories in the right hand bar. The sale is good for any and all article packs AND reports.

Step 2: Click the View Cart button. You can find this in two places. The first is at the top to the left of the search bar. The second is on the bottom of the right hand bar.

Step 3: Before you pick your payment, simply add the coupon code “HALFOFF” in the coupon field. It will automatically give you your 50% discount! (If you have trouble, you can get in touch with me through this contact form.)

Step 4: Choose your payment method. I accept PayPal and GoogleCheckout.

Step 5: Enjoy your PLR!

This sale will only be going for 3 days so don’t wait to head over and see what’s available!

Affiliates interested in promoting this sale can sign up here.
