It’s Time to Take Action! – 2013 Video Game Site Update

I’ve been working on getting my video game site set up and ready to launch in January. I’ve been talking about it in my vlogs all month. I finally picked a theme I think will work out well and created my social media profiles to go along with the website.

I was reading Tiffany Dow’s post about how too much planning can actually hurt your business. That along with my earlier post about how I started my PLR store got me thinking… why not just start writing a few blog posts NOW rather than waiting until the first?

Right now the site is bare. I had some dummy posts up so I could get a better look at the theme but I took them all down. I don’t have a header or logo. It doesn’t matter though! I’m going to start writing up some blog posts. It may only be one every few days until the first when I have time scheduled in to work on the site, but it’ll be populated with some content and looking nice by then.

If you’re interested in video games, I’d love it if you’d check it out. Right now there is just one quick post about a game I bought today.

I’ve got an idea brewing for a blog post I’ll write in the morning over there that I’ll be interested to see the response on!

Oh, and check out the main page and let me know what you think of the theme.

What have you done recently to take action instead of waiting for the perfect time? Let me know in the comments.

I LOVE that theme… especially the scrolling pictures.. Absolutely brilliant!

I take it this theme is free? If so, I might take one for myself. LOL

Why MEM? What does that stand for?

    • It’s free and there are paid child themes. The support isn’t too great but they always seem to update it with the new versions of WordPress and it’s a popular free theme so I’ve found I can Google most any problem I have and get an answer.

Mem is short for “Memimi” which was the name of my character on Final Fantasy XI, an MMO I played for years and was fairly well known on within my server.

My old roommate was someone I met over the game and all of my friends played so we all ended up calling each other by our FFXI names. To this day even my fiance calls me “Mem”. lol
