New Blogging Schedule and About Being “Visible” Online

seo-magnifying-glassToday I’m sitting down and working on a new schedule for this blog and my PLR releases mainly. I’ve been doing a lot of behind the scenes work but I haven’t been very visible – and that’s just not good! You can’t be a successful blogger if you don’t blog and I can’t teach you if I’m not showing you my adventure.

It’s so easy to get caught up in your work and side projects and pretty much disappear from the internet. You know what happens when you do that? Your audience starts finding other people to follow. They start thinking about other things. In the end, you lose readership. Sure, some of them will come back when you’re actively blogging again but not all of them.

Even if you don’t blog one day, are you active on social networks to let them know you’re still there and working? I know I haven’t been lately and my income has suffered because of it. I also feel less attached to my work which hurts my motivation.

Part of my new schedule includes a specific half an hour a day where I’ll be loading up some tips, quotes, and things like that to my Facebook pages and Twitter accounts as well as a few five minute spots here and there to post more timely updates and chat with my followers. Interacting with your audience is important!

Currently my income comes from:

So, here is what I’ve got going so far. Obviously I’ll sometimes blog on the non-blog days but I want to be blogging here at least three days a week.

Sunday: TBD
Monday: PLR Release
Tuesday: Blog
Wednesday: Tutorial or Video
Thursday: PLR Release
Friday: Blog
Saturday: TBD

My main things I need to focus on are:

  • Updating social media daily.
  • Blogging here three days a week.
  • Keeping up with releasing new PLR for my store.

Other things I want to be doing:

  • Releasing one new Kindle book a month.
  • Release a full IM related product. I’ve got one almost done but I keep putting off finishing and preparing it.

I know that I need to hold myself accountable but if anyone wants to follow along and watch my progress feel free to like my Facebook page. I won’t mind if you poke or prod me if I miss my task for the day. 🙂

Oh, I know I never finished with those PLR tutorials but I’ll be posting one up a day this week until they’re done starting tomorrow.

  1. Sounds good Amanda! I’ve missed hearing from you and look forward to having you back in the saddle producing blog posts and releasing new PLR!

    • I’m excited about it too. Honestly, I need to stay busy to keep my mind off of all of this stuff with the flooding and mudslide. It’s got me pretty stressed out but worrying doesn’t help anything and even if I’d love to head over to Oso and help out they’re only taking volunteers from Oso and Darrington. I’ll just have to work more and keep focused on that.

  2. I know the feeling, Amanda. I definitely need to be more visible again. I go in and out depending on my work load and it’s just not good. I think I’m going to follow in your footsteps and create a schedule that will work for me.
