Free Plugin Helps You Build Relationships and Connect With Readers

CommentLuv and Dashboard LuvversBuilding relationships is SO important in online business and so is connecting with your readers. Facebook and Twitter give you some great ways to work on this, but I’ve found my new favorite way!

I was doing some research and trying to decide if I wanted to pick up Comment Luv premium (I still haven’t decided…) and I found another plugin made by the same people. It is called Dashboard Luvvers and is 100% awesome!

Basically, this plugin adds a widget to your WordPress dashboard and shows the newest blog posts by all of the people who have commented on your site! This makes it easy to see what your readers are up to.

Here are a few of the ways I am benefiting from this FREE plugin… (If you get CommentLuv Premium you get a more advanced version of the plugin, but I’m just using the free one for now.)

1. Many of the people who comment on my blog are also interested in IM. When I see the list of recent blog posts I see what types of things my readers are interested in. This gives me ideas for blog posts that they will want to read!

2. I can easily drop over to their blogs and leave comments on their new posts which helps build a relationship with the reader. I know some of my favorite blogs to read are written by people I have commented or emailed back and forth with because it helps build trust. Relationships are key!

3. I’m learning new things! Many of my readers are interested in new or different IM strategies and I’ve really enjoyed hearing unique points of view and learning new things.

All in all this plugin is a keeper. You do need to be using the free version of CommentLuv for Dashboard Luvvers to work, but CommentLuv is great on its own. (I use it on every one of my sites.)

You can download it here. Scroll about halfway down the page and you’ll see the option to get the free version of Dashboard Luvvers. Let me know what you think!

  6. Interesting! I’ve been avoiding adding a comment system to my site because I’ve found them to be somewhat broken on occasion and I like the nesting that regular old WordPress comments provides.

However, I can see it would be a really cool thing to have that on your dashboard. I’m getting more and more interested in CommentLuv…

    • One of the nice things about CommentLuv is that it doesn’t change your regular WordPress comments besides allowing visitors to add a link to a recent post. You can pick do-follow or no-follow for the link and it gets more people posting comments because they can drop a relevant link more easily.

  7. I’m really late to this post, but I just wanted to say thanks for the tip!
