The Comments That Make Blogging Worth It – Keep Serving

When I told you guys about the day I almost quit online marketing, I mentioned an email I got from a reader that made me change my mind. Well, lately I’ve taken to saving the comments I get like that so when I’m feeling disheartened or worry that I’m not actually helping anyone. It’s really helped.

Well, I got interviewed for the Zujava blog and there was one comment that warmed my heart so much.

Not only did this comment make me feel awesome but it reminds me how much I value the connections I make with people.

The guy who posted this is someone who I met a while back. He was learning about blogging but was very new. Unlike a lot of newbies I messaged, he was a real go-getter. He had found a very professional theme and started blogging. He had some questions like most newbies but wasn’t afraid to jump in and learn first hand.  It was awesome. He was also active on Squidoo.

What started out as me mentoring him turned into a great friendship where we work together, bounce ideas off of each other, and generally support each other’s efforts.

Sometimes it’s good to sit back and reflect on the relationships you’ve formed and where they came from. Our relationship is that of friends, not mentor and mentored so sometimes I forget that’s how it started and it reminds me that the things I’m doing actually tough lives.

Well, that got me thinking. HOW do I touch lives? It’s simple. I come ready to help people. I love to help people, especially the go-getters. When someone has a success after coming to me struggling it’s a great filling and it makes me feel like I’M succeeding (and I am because helping people is my goal).

If you follow Tiffany Dow you’ve probably already seen this, but this video really sums up what you need to do to touch lives and really help people.

Do you sit down at the computer ready to serve?

  1. Amanda, that’s great when someone you support gives back with a thank you. You must have imparted more than blog-sense. It will multiply.
