Your Subscribers Aren’t the Only Ones You Should Give Freebies To

freeGiftAlmost everyone gives at least one freebie to their list, the opt in incentive. Many of us, especially those of us taking part in Tiffany Dow’s blogging challenge, send other freebies to our list. Lately I’ve been sending out short reports, keyword lists for Squidoo, and stuff like that. It’s great to show your list you care, but what about people who follow you in other ways like through Twitter or Facebook?

Not everyone subscribes via email and I think it’s important to recognize them for being awesome and caring about what you have to say.

I did this recently. My SquidsPro Facebook page hit 100 likes recently. To celebrate I put together a timely keyword list JUST for them. I didn’t send it out to my list or post it on my blog. I made it specifically for them for being awesome.

Gifts for your Twitter, FB, or other followers don’t need to take forever to put together. Sometime small and helpful is just as good.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  1. Keyword or topic lists. These have been a hit with the people on SquidsPro.
  2. Short reports. 3-4 pages of good information works just fine.
  3. Compiled resource lists. You can link to a bunch of resources in a PDF and it can make a great freebie.
  4. Brandable infographics or social media images. Think quote squares and things like that. You can put a bunch of the in a zip file and let people add their own branding to them.

I’m sure you can think of more ideas.

What can you do to show your followers you appreciate them?

If you haven’t already head over and like my Facebook page or follow me on Twitter!
